New die cutting machine for twin-wall sheet processing

The Ring GFSR is a hydraulic large area die cutting machine from Ring Maschinenbau GmbH. Among other things, it processes polypropylene twin-wall sheets with a grammage of 400 - 1,500 g/m², a material thickness of 3 - 5 mm and a maximum sheet size of 1600 x 1200 mm. The die cutting speed is approx. 15 seconds. The new large area die cutter is mainly used for die cutting individual parts and embossing hinges for foldable and collapsible packaging. In addition, a motorized shear model MHSU was purchased. The shear cuts structural and twin-wall sheets for further production steps up to a size of 4000 x 1250 mm. Both machines complement the existing machinery in the area of twin-wall sheet processing at Söhner and contribute to an increase in efficiency thanks to simple tooling technology, short set-up times and high speed.
