The MegaPack UN is a hazardous goods container for the transport of lithium-ion batteries (UN 3480, UN 3481). These can be large batteries for electric vehicles, industrial trucks and photovoltaic storage systems, but also batteries for e-bikes and power tools. Thanks to an ultra-robust, double-walled folding sleeve, the battery container reliably protects against shocks and impacts. Another advantage: the folding mechanism minimizes volume, making it efficient to return empty containers.
The MegaPack UN is available in three versions: BASIC (for undamaged batteries), ADVANCED (for prototypes, out-of-spec batteries, defective and damaged batteries) and PREMIUM (for defective and damaged batteries that require extra protection). The ADVANCED and PREMIUM versions contain a fireproof filling material. Individual configurations are available upon request. With a total of seven sizes and three variants, the series represents one of the largest portfolios of plastic hazardous goods containers.

Step 01
For storage and return of empties, the MegaPack JUMBO’s lid is first removed and the sleeve folded.

Step 02
The folded sleeve is then placed in the middle of the pallet and the lid is put back on.

Step 03
The folded containers can be stacked as individual packaging units.
The MegaPack UN is also approved as a hazardous goods container for the storage and transport of other solid hazardous substances or hazardous goods from packing groups II and III, and in certain cases, even from packing group I. The approval complies with the applicable requirements for International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR) and by Rail (RID) as well as the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) code.
