Reusable, lightweight and space-saving are the large load carriers of the MegaPack series from Söhner Kunststofftechnik. The plastic load carriers are suitable for logistic cycles in industry as well as for goods traffic in trade and e-commerce. The use of mono-material, robust construction and twin-sheet thermoforming ensure a long service life and make it easy to recycle the container at the end of its working life. Furthermore, empty load carriers can be folded down, reducing the space required for storage and return. This feature helps reduce costs and emissions with every rotation through the cycle.
Reusable solutions replace disposable packaging
Söhner Kunststofftechnik offers lightweight packaging solutions made of PP twin-wall sheets as an alternative to disposable packaging. These include folding boxes, containers and dividers. Due to their moisture resistance as well as their high buckling, impact and tear resistance, the packaging is better suited to multiple reuse than cardboard and corrugated board packaging. This also applies to the stacking boxes with the inner dimensions of 1150 x 450 x 250 mm, which the manufacturer is presenting at this year's FachPack. Integrated into a pallet system in the basic dimensions of 1225 x 1025 mm, the boxes form a stable and durable packaging unit for light packaged goods.
Automation in logistical processes
In addition to the reusable and closed-loop concept, automated processes are playing an increasingly important role in the supply chain. Parts and components are now designed for fully automatic processing and conveying. Customized load carriers such as workpiece carriers and trays are indispensable here, since in addition to their transport and protection functions, they can also take over the positioned supply of parts in the system. In addition to individual workpiece carriers, Söhner Kunststofftechnik will also present a complete packaging unit at its stand in Hall 7, which contributes to reducing production times and costs thanks to its high level of automation capability.
